Current Creative Challenge for the Facebook Group: #PickingUpMyTools #CreativeActivation

Many creatives have been struggling with shame, depression, hiddenness, self-doubt, and complacency. As a result, artists are putting their creative gifts on the shelf and no longer embracing their God-given creativity. The creative arts facilitate healing. When we take our creative gifts “off the shelf,” we can discover personal healing and breakthrough.

God is calling out creatives – out of the background – out of the pit – out of the darkness – and bringing them to the front to use their gifts for His kingdom.

Whatever creative gift you have, we want you to inspire other creatives around you to“take their gifts off the shelf…” by posting a photo of you using your creative tool: whether it is a picture of you in-action writing, painting, playing your instrument, decorating your home etc.…

Post a picture of you using your “creative tool” on social media. You can also post a picture of your artistic piece if you want. Tell us why your creative art form is important to you and/or how your creative gift is making a difference in your life or the life of others! We love a good story!

We want to keep track of all the photos to put a video together so please use the hashtags with your post: #PickingUpMyTools #CreativeActivation  … so that we can celebrate what God is doing through you!

We highly encourage you to also post your picture and caption in our Facebook group.

Secondly, send us a video that’s between 1 minute and 3 minutes long of you using your creative gift in your home or neighborhood. We want to put together a compilation of videos of artists using their creative art forms and creative tools! We plan to host a Facebook Watch Party for May. Send the video to thecreativeactivation@gmail.com and we’ll all get to see one another using our creative gifts as a group!

Write Us at thecreativeactivation@gmail.com with any creative encouragement for how artists can overcome discouragement during this time or any words of wisdom. If approved, your post will be published on our blog. Or share a personal testimony of how God is operating creatively through your life.

We’re in this together! We love you!

Cynthia Giles and the Creative Activation Team!
